Welcome to Calella!
For 25 years, we continue celebrating like every autumn our “Oktoberfest”.
During the past few years we have organized the Oktoberfest in Calella and give the welcome to musicians of Belgium, Denmark, Germany, England, France, Holland, Ireland, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, Norway, Luxembourg, Austria, Russia, Switzerland, Slovenia, Tyrol of the South, the Czech Republic, the Ukraine, Hungary and from Spain.
The Celebration is inaugurated the first Saturday with a great parade of all the bands on the streets of the city, and later the official inauguration with traditional opening of the barrel and the offering of plates to the groups from the authorities. Every Saturday they change the bands and they carry out several parades, the welcome and the delivery of plates on the part of the authorities. The celebration is celebrated in a carp in the Playa Grande beach, near the level crossing (Stroll of Manuel Puigvert), decorated to the purest Bavarian style with furniture brought especially from Munich. As far as the beer, the average of consumption during the three weeks that the celebration lasts is of more than 40,000 liters. Also the best German gastronomy can be tasted, like bratwurst, kartoffelsalat and schnitzel among others. Some bands count with more than sixty musicians than they play every night in the carp. They bring instruments and traditional dresses of his country or region. Calella counts in addition, with excellent tourist lodgings, that now have very interesting offers, allowing to leave the car in house and fully enjoy the celebration.
